Rated Capacity (lbs): The gross capacity of the crane for the working radius and the boom length/angle. This is determined by matching the working radius and the boom value on the load charts.

Weight of Load (lbs): This is determined by manufacturers given weights, shipping tickets, or LMI readings. The operator must know the weight of the load in order to make accurate calculations.

Weight of Rigging / Attachments (lbs): The weight of the block/ball and any rigging used to attach the load to the hook. This includes slings and chokers, shackles, spreader bars, stowed or installed jibs or flys, and parts of line (multi-part reeving).
